Ever dreamt of escaping to the country but not sure what you’d do when you actually got there? Then what about starting a new business? For the past six weeks I’ve been avidly following Channel Four’s My Dream Farm hosted by Monty Don who has been sadly missing from our screens for the past year as he recovered from a heart attack.
The series follows 6 different people as they take the plunge as small holders, flower growers or in one case as an alpaca breeder! Monty provides down to earth advice on how to make their businesses work, and whilst not everyone in the series makes the leap from town to country entirely successfully, Monty’s infectious enthusiasm for ‘the land’ makes for compulsive viewing.
