I first met Gemma Grant who works for Surrey Wildlife Trust, on a guided foraging walk. It was clear from the start what a huge passion she has for her job, so I wanted to find out more about life as a forest ranger and what it takes to become one.

New website maps 14000 of UK’s forests

Developed by the Woodland Trust in partnership with the Forestry Commission, the National Trust, Wildlife Trusts and RSPB, it’s the UK’s first interactive website to bring all major woodland-owning organisations into one searchable database.
