1) Siblyback Lake Campsite, Cornwall

3) Craig Tara Holidays, Ayr

Craig Tara in Ayrshire offer something for all the family – let the kids loose on the massive indoor pool with slides and funpools, whilst Dads take a few hours out for themselves on the Craig Tara landscaped golf course. Venture slightly further afield and check out the Open Championship courses of Turberry, Royal Troon and Prestwick. For a full day out, head to nearby Alnwick Castle for some archery lessons – bring the kids on this one as Alnwick is the castle used as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. The surrounding area offers a huge variety of dad-days-out but more realistically, there are three great pubs within a few miles of New Farm where he can enjoy a well-deserved pint, including the Good Pub Guide’s renowned Dysart Arms in Bunbury.
