There are some great active events taking place in and around London over the festive period, here’s a few to keep you motivated.
The London Running Show takes place on 27th and 28th November at Olympia, and offers everything running related from seminars and workshops to an injuries clinic and even a fundraising clinic run by Cancer Research, to help you achieve your sponsorship goals.
If you want to get in the Christmas spirit then get dressed up for the Santa Skate. Each year this event attracts up to 500 Santas, elves, reigndeer and snowmen for a 2 hour skate around London’s landmarks, with a half way stop for mulled wine and mince pies! No speed skating required, just the ability to stop, turn and control your speed.
Lastly if you feel the need to work off some of that Christmas pudding come January, then prepare to get muddy at Run Rampage. It’s a 10km cross country, multi terrain challenge held at the MOD’s Bagshot Barracks on 16th Janaury. It’s where they test their vehicles and includes some pretty steep hills, so expect to burn most of the turkey dinner off in one go!
Let us know how you’re staying active over the festive season, with or without a Santa costume!
