Hone your winter mountaineering skills

Hone your winter mountaineering skills

Going to be hill walking or climbing this winter? Then the BMC Winter Lectures will tell you everything you need to know.

Sponsored by Lowe Alpine, this series of lectures given by Tim Blakemore (British Mountain Guide) and Tamsin Gay (aspirant MIC) draws on their first hand experiences and will bring you up to speed on all the skills required to explore the winter mountains.

Whether it’s equipment and clothing, navigation, footwork, route planning, avalanche awareness, and climbing, they’ve got it covered and the lectures will be touring the country so they’ll be coming to a venue near you. Time to start sharpening those crampons…
